Outdoor Worship Service, Church Picnic & Graduate Sunday: June 2 at Slate Run Metro Park (Shady Grove Picnic Shelter). Worship at 10:30 am, picnic following worship service. Subs, water and desserts will be provided. In order to be good stewards of the church money, please RSVP here or text or call Tracee at 614-313-4604 if you plan to attend (and let us know if you have any food restrictions/allergies). High school and college graduates will be honored during worship (please email hopewellumcgroveport@gmail.com with details if you have a family member graduating from high school or college so it can be announced). Scholarships will be awarded during the ceremony as well; we encourage those receiving scholarships to attend.
Hope Letters: The purpose of the program is to give hope through regular correspondence to people who are incarcerated. The letters offer encouragement, non-judgmental companionship and a listening ear to a person imprisoned at a state correctional institution. Men write to men, and women to women. Please let Mary Jane know if you are interested in participating in this project with the “All In Community” ministries of the West Ohio Conference.
Financial Secretary: June has been asking for over a year for someone to take her place as financial secretary. She will be resigning at the end of this year, and Hopewell needs to find a replacement so June can train them. We are asking everyone to prayerfully consider this role and calling. If this is something that you might be interested in, please talk to June, Ron White or Pastor Wendy.
